  • What is Cufitec™?

It is the brand name for NBC Meshtec's proprietary antiviral and antibacterial technology based on monovalent copper compound nanoparticles, coined from the initial letters of Cure, Fine, and Technology. It was named with the meaning of creating a clean, safe, and comfortable environment to make everyone feel better.

  • What is the active ingredient in Cufitec™?

    Inorganic monovalent copper compound nanoparticles.

  • Does Cufitec™ comply with the positive list of the Food Sanitation Law?

It is currently not compliant, so it cannot be used in applications where the Food Sanitation Law applies, such as those in direct contact with food products.

  • What is the adoption record of Cufitec™?

More than 50 companies have adopted Cufitec™ antiviral and antibacterial technology. It has been used in a variety of applications including coatings, paints, home appliances, air conditioning equipment, sanitary products, and miscellaneous goods.

  • What confirmation do you have of the safety of Cufitec™?

No problem for the human body has been confirmed in tests that conform to the safety standards for cosmetics.
Safety has been confirmed through acute oral toxicity tests, eye mucous membrane irritation tests, primary skin irritation tests, skin sensitization tests, mutagenicity tests, and cytotoxicity tests.

  • Does Cufitec™ cause allergic reactions?

Skin sensitization tests have confirmed no problems, but not all tests for allergies have been conducted.
If itching or other skin problems occur, stop use immediately and consult a physician according to your condition.

  • What microorganisms is Cufitec™ effective against?

The effectiveness against enveloped viruses (6 types, 27 strains), non-enveloped viruses (3 types, 5 strains), gram-negative bacteria (9 types) and gram-positive bacteria (5 types) has been confirmed.

  • Is Cufitec™ effective against norovirus?

Because human norovirus is difficult to culture, antiviral testing standards such as ISO 21702 and JIS L 1922 specify the use of feline calicivirus instead of norovirus. Cufitec™ has confirmed antiviral activity in tests with feline calicivirus. Its antiviral effect against mouse norovirus has also been confirmed.

  • If I wear Cufitec™ Mask, will I not be infected with influenza viruses, novel coronaviruses, or noroviruses?

To prevent infectious diseases, it is important to comprehensively take basic measures such as washing hands and gargling on a daily basis. Wearing a mask alone is not sufficient as a countermeasure and does not completely prevent viral infection. Cufitec™ Mask is made of non-woven fabrics that have been treated with Cufitec™ (antiviral and antibacterial treatment), which binds viruses to the mask surface, reducing the risk of viruses spreading.

  • Is the surface of Cufitec™ Film Cover completely free of viruses and bacteria?

Although Cufitec™ Film Cover has been confirmed to have high antiviral and antibacterial properties in antimicrobial tests such as ISO 21702 and JIS Z 2801, it cannot completely eliminate viruses and bacteria due to various factors in the actual environment.

  • Can Cufitec™ Wiping Cloth be used to sterilize tables and worktops?

Cufitec™ Wiping Cloth is not designed to sterilize or disinfect tables or worktops. After wiping, the surface of the cloth reduces viruses and bacteria, so the cloth does not become a breeding ground for viruses and bacteria and does not spread them.

  • Does the antiviral and antibacterial effect remain on areas wiped with Cufitec™ Wiping Cloth or Cufitec™ Wipes?

Antiviral and antibacterial performance cannot be imparted to the wiped area. Cufitec™ Wiping Cloth and Cufitec™ Wipes are treated with Cufitec™ (antiviral and antibacterial treatment) on the cloths and wipes themselves, which helps reduce viruses and bacteria that are wiped away.
