A gram-negative or gram-positive bacterial solution was dropped on a Cufitec™-treated rayon non-woven fabric to examine the viable bacteria count after 15 minutes of contact time using the mixed plate culture method (colony method).

What is the SEK Mark?
It is a product certification mark for functional fibers implemented by the Japan Textile Evaluation Technology Council.
It covers various functions such as antiviral, antibacterial deodorizing, antifungal, deodorant, and water-absorbing and quick-drying.
Based on the results of functionality and safety tests conducted by a third-party testing organization, a third-party committee evaluates the product and provides product certification and the SEK Mark.
■ SEK Mark performance criteria
Antiviral Finished Product: Antiviral activity value of 3.0 or higher in 2 hours against specific viruses (JIS L 1922)
Antibacterial Deodorizing Finished Product: Activity value of 2.2 or higher in 18 hours against specific bacteria (JIS L 1902)
