Cufitec™ antiviral and antibacterial technology
Utilization
cufitecUtilization of Cufitec™
Cufitec™ can be processed into a variety of materials and used in a wide range of applications where antiviral and antibacterial functions are required.
In addition to providing raw materials, we also offer Cufitec™- treated raw fabrics (roll form), contributing to efficient product development.
Coating on material surface
Immobilizing monovalent copper compound nanoparticles to fiber material
Cufitec™ treatment can be applied to the surface of non-woven fabrics and other fiber materials to add functionality.
Cufitec™-treated non-woven fabrics are SEK Mark certified.
Coating monovalent copper compound nanoparticles on film material
Cufitec™ treatment can be applied to the surface of films and other resin materials to add functionality.
Cufitec™ Coating Agent and Cufitec™ Film Cover are SIAA Mark certified.
Blending into resin
Blending monovalent copper compound nanoparticles into synthetic resin
Monovalent copper compound nanoparticles can be blended into fiber materials and molded products to add functionality.
Available in the forms of pellet and powder.
Mixing into liquid
Mixing monovalent copper compound nanoparticles into liquid such as paint
Monovalent copper compound nanoparticles can be mixed into paints and cleaning agents to add functionality.
Available in the forms of liquid dispersion, alcohol formulation (concentrated liquid), and powder.
SEK Mark
What is the SEK Mark?
It is a product certification mark for functional fibers implemented by the Japan Textile Evaluation Technology Council.
It covers various functions such as antiviral, antibacterial deodorizing, antifungal, deodorant, and water-absorbing and quick-drying.
Based on the results of functionality and safety tests conducted by a third-party testing organization, a third-party committee evaluates the product and provides product certification and the SEK Mark.
■SEK Mark performance criteria
Antiviral Finished Product: Antiviral activity value of 3.0 or higher in 2 hours against specific viruses (JIS L 1922)
Antibacterial Deodorizing Finished Product: Activity value of 2.2 or higher in 18 hours against specific bacteria (JIS L 1902)
SEK Mark for Cufitec™ products
A total of 3 types of SEK Mark have been acquired for Cufitec™-treated non-woven fabrics and non-woven fabric products: Antiviral Finished Product, Antibacterial Finished Product, and Antimicrobial Finished Product
SIAA Mark
What is the SIAA Mark?
It is a symbol mark issued and implemented for resin products, etc. other than fiber products, established by the Society of International sustaining growth for Antimicrobial Articles (SIAA). There are various types of the Mark including "Antiviral," "Antibacterial" and "Antifungal."
■Antiviral SIAA Mark certification criteria
Antiviral activity value of 2.0 or higher in 24 hours against specific viruses (ISO 21702)
SIAA Mark for Cufitec™ products
Cufitec™ Coating Agent and Cufitec™ Film Cover are “Antiviral SIAA Mark” certified.
